Target
The website is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, including keyboard access, visible focus, semantic structure, text alternatives and reduced-motion support.
Responsive access
Layouts adapt from mobile through large screens without relying on hover alone for essential actions.
Forms
Labels, error messages, live status regions and validation are designed to support assistive technology.
Scientific visuals
Dense infographics are supplemented with accessible text summaries and can be opened at a larger size. Complete long descriptions should be expanded as final scientific assets are approved.
Homepage film
On the first homepage visit, the introductory film opens and begins muted. Native video controls provide pause, seek, volume and sound controls, and the dialog can be closed from the keyboard. A necessary first-party preference prevents repeat autoplay; on later visits, the film starts only after the visitor activates the video button.
Ongoing testing
Automated checks, keyboard review, contrast checks and representative screen-reader testing should be repeated before and after material changes.
Feedback
Accessibility barriers can be reported through the Contact page. Include the page, task, browser and assistive technology when possible.
